This folder contains the letters between Philander Briscoe and the President of the Alumni Association about Philip Briscoe's grave at Christ Church, Chaptico. A monument had been erected by friends and associates of the Charlotte Hall School, but it was in disrepair and Briscoe thought the Association should fix the problems. Over the course of the letters, it was decided that the Association would ask for the fence around the monument to be removed because that would facilitate the care of the monument.
