This folder contains a copy of the Sentinel, the school' s yearbook, for 1949. The cover is very dark gray green color with "Sentinel" in a band near the top edge and a swooping embossed strip with 1946, 1947, 1948 rising from the bottom edge to a larger 1949 in the center of the cover with a fluttering banner behind. There is nothing on the back cover. The text block is of uncoated paper and the print resembles typing, probably to save money. This is the usual yearbook with lots of pictures of students and their activities and a sizable advertising section in the back. A sheet from some other publication [it is p. 303] has been loosely placed in the back. It is a list of physicians who have died, one of whom, Dr. Levin Sothoron, was the physician for Charlotte Hall for most of the twentieth century. There is no handwriting in the book.Collection
