1 folder (9 5/8" x 11 3/4")
This folder contains a copy of the Sentinel, the school' s yearbook, for 1945. The cover is khaki color with a red design in the center. A flag flutters behind a circle with a bugler and his shadow pointed to the right. At the edge of the circle on the noon-four arc are the initials C. H. M. A. The circle appears to be resting on a block with the word Sentinel in block letters forming a fence in front of the circle. There is nothing on the backcover. Inside the front cover is a photo of the student body marching past a large white building. The photo is in red tones. Capt. C. W. Vernoy signed the book in the upper right corner. Pages 65/66 and 93/94 have come loose from the text block. This is the usual yearbook with lots of pictures of students and their activities and a sizable advertising section in the back. There are mentions of alumni who have been killed in the war and there is a sense of uncertainty for the future of the graduates--will they go to war or be able to continue their education?Collection
