Description

Nine young men, all officers, have been arranged by the photographer in two rows: four seated in chairs, and five standing behind them. The young men are attired in full dress uniforms with caps and gloves and swords. The trousers have a dark stripe on the outside seam and there are frogs, braid, gold buttons and insignia of rank on the jackets. Mr. Dent, seated second from the left, has five chevron stripes, more than anyone else. One young man has glasses. The men are in front of pine trees and a window with shutters is just visible on the right.
