Four rows of young men are on a porch of a painted brick building. There is a door in the center of the space and a window on either side. There is white writing on the door, probably chalk. Several panes are broken in the left window and the steps on each side of the porch look none too sturdy. There are 9 young men standing in the back row, 8 young men seated in the third row, 8 young men seated on the porch in the second row (except for two standing), and 8 standing as the front row. The plain uniform of a dark mandarin-style jacket with light colored trousers is worn by rows 2-4, and the more elaborate uniform jacket is paired with the same light trousers for those in the first row. These are probably the officers for the form. Some of the young people have the CHS insignia on the standup collar of the jacket. All the young men wear gloves. There may be "let-down" lines on some of the trousers.Collection
