Description

The graduating class sits on chairs on a small platform ringed by low shrubbery. The guests are seated outside the shrub line. Cars of 50s and 60s vintage are beyond, under the trees. A large flagpole has only the United States flag visible. The young men are in dark uniforms reminiscent of World War II. Everyone there appears to be listening intently to a sound source outside the picture. This is a color photo, but most of the color has faded--only red tones have survived.
