Description

The graduating class sits on chairs on a small platform ringed by low shrubbery. Starry bunting encircles the platform. The guests and other students are seated outside the shrub line. Cars of 50s vintage are beyond, under the trees. The young men are in dark uniforms reminiscent of World War II. About half the women in the audience are wearing hats. Everyone there appears to be listening to a sound source outside the picture. Boredom has begun to set in. This is a color photo, but the color has largely faded. There is a "Kodak Enlargement" stamp on the back with a date of July 1963, which may argue for a June 1963 graduation, but the cars are older.
