3 1/2" x 5 3/4" black and white photo of Cherry Hill from the other end of the house. The Maryland Historical Trust Inventory of Historic Sites in Southern Maryland lists two Cherry Hill sites in Charles County, one of which has completely collapsed and one which does not look like this house at all. This photo was of a house that was two stories on one end and story and a half on the other end. This photo was of the back or river side of the house. There was a pyramid roof outbuilding on the left. There was a very large outside end chimney on the left end of the house that stood away from the gable end about three quarters of the way up the house. The roof was black paper with tarred seams. Two inside end chimneys were at the other end of this section. There were two windows, widely spaced, on the second floor. There was an off center door on the first floor. The left window was not in line with the window on the second floor, but the window on the right was in line with the upper window. The metal roof half of the building had a long roof slope that incorporated a closed end shed roof porch with three bays. There was a center door into the house with a large window on the left. Vines obscured the rest of the details. The siding was clapboard in poor repair. Sheets were flying on the clothesline in the yard.
