Water color by Father Stephen Tushak of Christ Church, Chaptico. It is a summer scene. The red brick church and its surrounding grounds are enclosed by a wrought iron fence. Gravestones are visible on each side of the church. There are five arched windows on the long side of the church and two arched windows and an arched central door on the short side. A three story bell tower has been built over and in front of the door with open arches on three sides of the same height as the door. In this space is a large pendant light fixture. At the second story level are large arched windows on each side of the tower. At the third level are circular spaces, perhaps meant as clock faces, in each side of the tower. There is an octagonal louvered belfry, capped by a tall pyramidal roof topped by a cross. All the window and tower trim is painted white.
