March 26, 1965 Governor's Citation awarded to Joseph Claude Hayden in appreciation for his outstanding service to the state. There is a 3 1/2" diameter embossed gold seal with yellow and black ribbons in the lower left corner of the document. J. Millard Tawes was governor at the time. There is also a letter, bearing the same date, thanking Hayden for "making Maryland a nicer place in which to live and work." Mr. Hayden worked for the State Roads Commission.Collection
