3 1/8"h x 3 1/8"w black and white photo of the Collingwood altar, a rectangular wooden altar with a painted scene on the front of the Trinity triangle in a sunburst in clouds. Various cherubim look at the Trinity from within the clouds. There appear to be three vases, two books, a box and two religious statues on the top. A portrait of Mary (?) hangs over the altar. A stool with interesting stretchers sits in front and to the side. A rosary (?) hangs on the wall above the stool. The altar was reputedly from the time of the suppression of Catholics. Catholics were not allowed to worship openly, so they had services in homes. However, Collingwood was not built until the 1870s, so the altar's location in between times is not known to me.
