This folder contains information on Cornfield Harbor, a large property with a substantial house. The house burned in 1938. After a checkered ownership history, the property was purchased by the federal government for a camp. The folder includes seven pictures of the home before it burned. The part of the building visible in the pictures was two and a half stories, with a full length one story porch on the front and five dormers in the roof. The other side of the house had a full length porch on each story and five dormers in the roof. There was a two story outbuilding connected to the main house by a hyphen. Documents in the folder include a list of owners, one letter about the house, an 1806 request to re-survey the boundaries of the property, notes about the property, a 1935 deed, notes about the property's transition to a camp, and a faint survey of the property.Collection
