Cecile Bolling von Goetz owned Broad Neck Farm on Upper St. Clement's Bay.
Cover letter of May 11, 1978 for a story entitled "The Anniversary" written by Ms. von Goetz about her journey from her St. Mary's county home to Washington, D.C. to make a living. She was able to find a job as a secretary in the Islamic Center in Washington, but was caught up in a hostage drama created by a feud between Black Muslims and Black Hanafis. She feigned a heart attack to gain her release and the situation was somehow resolved without murder.
