5 7/16"w x 3 1/2"w postcard with a horizontal orientation. The black and white image is 3 3/16"h and 3 13/16"w, leaving a 1 1/2" small space on the right and a sliver at the bottom for the title and publication details. The viewer was standing in front of the building. It was a two story brick building with a large central porch that stood out slightly from the remainder of the elevation and the roof. The roof of the porch was accessible to some of the second floor offices and had railings to prevent falls. There were six double columns supporting that roof. The other windows were tall and narrow with a rounded arch on the top of each. The whole effect was cheerless. On the verso was the typical center divider between the mailing address and the message. This card was addressed to Miss Lucie Loker in Valley Lee, without a message. In the upper left corner was the eagle, shield, arrows, and olive branch all in brown ink. The card had not been posted. It was published by L. A. Jones & Son.Collection
