Black and white print 3 7/16"h x 3 5/16"w of Cuthbert Fenwick. The photo is taken in a living room with a Christmas tree barely visible on the right. Mr. Fenwick has a receding hair line and is wearing a dark turtleneck sweater. He is seated in an upholstered chair with arms. He has a cigarette clamped between the second and third fingers of his left hand. A lamp and possibly a fishbowl are on a table behind him. There is a fifteen light door with a sheer shirred curtain near him. A sort of fence is at his knee, probably to protect the Christmas tree. On the top "frame" of the snapshot is written in black ball point ink: "Jan. 1953--Cuthbert Fenwick."
