Black and white photograph 3 1/2"h x 3 1/2"w of the land side of De La Brooke Manor house. This is a two story full brick house with a two story addition on the side away from the entry door. There are four inside end chimneys on the main house. There is probably a chimney on the far end of the addition, but a tree obscures this feature. The roof is a standard gable with two gabled dormers with one four over four light double hung window in each facing the camera. There are three six over six light double hung windows on the second floor. The window above the entry door has dark shutters, so probably the other windows do also, but ivy covers almost the entire side of the building, so it is impossible to tell from the photograph. The small porch at the entry door has a hipped roof supported on four white posts. There appears to be a horseshoe on each of the outside posts. There are six steps up to the wide door that has a screen door. Two people are standing on the porch. There are two six over six light windows on this floor, possibly with shutters. There are two casement windows with eight lights per window on the ground floor. The addition has a centered entry door that is just one step up from the ground with a twelve light window on either side of the door. There are likely three windows on the second floor. There is a large tree in front of this portion of the building that obscures most details. There is a row of shrubbery behind the addition and a large tree at the other end of the house as well. A drive passes in front of the entire building. There are painted? white rocks arranged on the lawn, especially surrounding a large statue of a female with her right arm upraised. The Patuxent River is barely visible between the porch and the tree.
