This lovely photograph 5 1/2" in diameter is on a golden beige metal background with a goldtone metal frame. Her hair style suggests the 1840s. Her dark hair was parted in the middle, draped gently down to her ears, then pulled toward the back, braided and coiled in a circle on top of her head. She had on earrings. Her dress was not black. She had a wide v-necked lace collar that may have had ribbons braided into it. She was a pretty young woman. The frame around the photo is completely plain with a hanger at the top that looks much like a watch. The back is metal, somewhat corroded. The maker's name is embossed in a tiny circle on the back, but it is so corroded that it is not legible.
