3 3/8"h x 4 3/4""w black and white photo of the altar of the Dent Memorial Chapel in Charlotte Hall. The church had a high barrel vault ceiling of dark wood. The large window over the altar was a round arch, but the detail was obscured by the flash. There was a round arch window on the left side of the altar and another arch, possibly with a door, on the right. There was a heavily carved wooden chair on each side of the altar. The altar was very simple--a cross and two candlesticks and an altar cloth with restrained embroidery. There was a lectern on the left near the altar rail. The board with the hymn numbers was high on the pillar on the left. On the right was an embroidered banner on a stand and a round arch door into the rectory. Judging by the configuration of the pews, the church had double aisles.
