Scope and Content

1letter-size folder ; 9 3/4" x 11 1/2" October 28, 1898 photocopy of a letter from John F. Dent to his daughter Fannie in Newnan, Georgia. It was late at night, but Mr. Dent could not sleep, so he had a "conversation" with his daughter. He then launched into several pages of family history, especially about Reverend Hatch Dent and his son, Henry Hatch Dent. He described the Dents as "clannish." He finished the letter the next day with local news and a little note to "little daughter," probably Fannie Jo.
