Scope and Content

2 pages ; 11" x 8 1/2" Photocopy of the early charter for St. Mary's Hospital was received for the record and enrolled. Morgan, Abell, Lilburn, Renehan, Turner, Jones, and Dent formed the corporation. These gentlemen were to manage the business affairs of the corporation for the first year. All the men signed the real document and it was witnessed by T. F. Herbert. Enoch Abell also approved the signatures on April 2, 1912. Associate Judges Beall and Camalier certified that the document was in conformity with the law. Buchanan Schley, State Tax Commissioner passed on the document. Enoch Abell recorded it on April 12, 1912. These days this would take months to accomplish.
