Text: "A Bicentennial Celebration Re=enactment of the Delivery and Reading of the Declaration of Independence July 17, 1776 and the Battle of Saint George's Island July 18, 1776 St. Mary's County, Maryland" The county's Bicentennial seal was below the text in bright red and white. The American Revolution Bicentennial symbol was on the left and another symbol on the right. The events were jointly sponsored by the county's Bicentennial Commission and the Harry Lundeberg School. The School was trying to ingratiate itself with countians, plus its location was ideal for anything to do with St. George's Island.
