4"h x 4"w color photo, although most of the colors have faded to dull red. Lettie Dent Gough and Fannie Jo Dent were standing in the crowd at the American Bicentennial celebration in Leonardtown in July 1976. They were each in period costume with ruffled hats. Miss Lettie had on a scoop neck dress of light-colored material with small flowers. This material was used for the sleeves, neck ruffle, and much of the skirt. There was a center panel of medium blue from the shoulders to the edge of the skirt and then as an inverted pleat to the hem. She wore a large pendant and earrings. Her hat was light-colored. Miss Fannie had on a black lace shawl, a light-colored hat, and a large pendant. Her skirt may have been lavender. People on each side of them were also in costume, but others were not.
