Description
Aluminum printing die 7 1/2"l x 4 1/2"w at the widest end. It had a bright green coating on the back and some sort of black mastic that is no longer sticky. This die was to print the cover of the book. The raised print is a mirror image of the text: "History of St. Mary's County Maryland 1634-1990" with the seal of St. Mary's County 2 3/8" in diameter below and then "By Regina Combs Hammett" on the bottom When Kirby Lithography went out of business, they returned this to Mrs. Hammett.
