Description
Aluminum printing die 9 1/4"l x 3/8"w at the narrow end and 1"w at the wide end. It had a bright green coating on the back and some sort of black mastic that is no longer sticky. This die was to print the spine of the book. The raised print is a mirror image of the text: History of St. Mary's County Maryland 1634-1990 and on the bar at the top: Hammett. When Kirby Lithography went out of business, they returned this to Mrs. Hammett.
