Dinner party with Fenwicks as honoreesEntry/Object ID
1995.001.0944Description
Color print 3 1/2" h x 4 3/8"w of a formal dinner, probably at what is now (2005) the Breton Inn. (The windows lead me to that conclusion.) This photo shows several people sitting at a long table with a blue cloth with white placemats and napkins and water glasses, with sugar bowls and salt and pepper service in several locations. There is a nice bouquet of yellow and white flowers in front of a woman in a brightly patterned dress. It appears that the Fenwicks are the honorees for whatever occasion this is because Mr. and Mrs. Fenwick have on corsages and no one else does. A silver-haired gentleman with a microphone appears to be amusing the crowd. Everyone has on a "Hello, I'm ..." sticky nametag. There are three large windows visible behind the table and each has heavy gold draperies. There are two large glass sconces on the wall between every other window. This may have been Mr. Fenwick's retirement from the bank. This piece was the top image on page 29 of the dark red photograph album.Collection
