1995.001.0945Description
Color print 3 1/2" h x 4 3/8"w of a formal dinner, probably at what is now (2005) the Breton Inn. (The windows lead me to that conclusion.) This photo shows four people sitting at a table with a blue cloth with white placemats and napkins, coffee cups and water glasses, with sugar bowls and salt and pepper service in several locations. This is the salad course. It appears that the Fenwicks are the honorees for whatever occasion this is because Mr. and Mrs. Fenwick have on corsages. Everyone has on a "Hello, I'm ..." sticky nametag. There are windows visible behind the table and each has heavy gold draperies. L-R: woman with silver hair and a boldly patterned dress with a dark gold background and white, yellow, orange, and turquoise flowers. Mr. Charles Fenwick in a brown suit coat and brown diagonal patterned tie with white boutinierre. Mrs. LaVerne Fenwick with a dark green? dress with gold leaves scattered generously about, several long gold chains and an large orchid corsage. Her short medium brown hair is done up away from her face. The man next to her is only partially visible and has on a gray? coat with a dark red and gold plaid tie. A bouquet of flowers is barely visible in front of the woman in the flowered dress. This may have been Mr. Fenwick's retirement from the bank; he looks almost sad in this photo. This piece was the middle image on page 29 of the dark red photograph album.Collection
