Description

3 3/8"h x 4 3/4"w black and white photo of a small white story and a half clapboard cottage. A screened porch, two bays deep and three bays wide, was inset into the long wall of the cottage. It was five steps up from the ground. The entry door was on the right and there was a long narrow two light window next to the door. Next to that was a small double window with no shutters, but dark outline trim. This porch looked out on a yard hemmed in by a picket fence with its gate fairly close to the house. There was a large tree. The foundation of the house was painted a dark color, as were the steps, and white pavers marked off a flower bed on each side of the steps. Toward the back of the gable end was a small clapboard addition or free standing shed.. ********************************** Text on verso: in black ink "Dora Harrison Quade"
