1 folder ; 9 5/8 x 14 3/4" Members of the Dorsey family practiced law in the county for generations. However, the Dorsey name does not appear on any of these items. June 7, 1927 Mary Airey deeded part of Willow Farm to William F. Airey September 9, 1929 Summons for William Airey and his wife to answer a suit by Mary Airey September 9, 1929 Mary Airey claimed she had not been paid for Willow Farm. William Airey said he had paid. Mary Airey asked for an injunction to prevent the property from being sold. February 13, 1930 Defendants' denial of the plaintiff's claim March 20, 1930 In response to the defendants' claim of mental incapacity of Mary Airey, the plaintiff said no evidence to that effect was produced. March 22, 1930 Appeal of the Airey v. Airey case because of several errors April 8, 1930 Court clerk was asked to enter the appeal May and June 1930 Plaintiff's ten bills of exception were filed in the appeal plus three prayers for relief No date On individual sheets, five prayers by the defendant with pencil markings indicating Rejected or Granted January 8, 1931 Decision of the Court of Appeals in the Airey case--the original judgment was affirmed. The opinion is not present.
