1 folder ; 9 5/8 x 14 3/4" Members of the Dorsey family practiced law in the county for generations. No date Two handwritten sheets, probably not complete, describing Part of Piney Point aka Home Farm of the late Joseph Travers. This may be a draft of a document transferring ownership of 3 1/2 A. of woods. December 19?? Half a sheet of yellow paper with the beginning of a deed to manage property owned by Mary Eva Burroughs, who died without a will October 8, 1849 Indenture between Benedict and Mary Magill and Nelson Somerville for property known as Cow Ridge, Poplar Point, or Abell's Purchase of about 50 A. The wife was separately examined to be sure the sale was made by her free will. This typed copy was made on February 3, 1923. February 26, 1870 William and Mary Somerville sold a tract called Williams & Twitmans of approximately 52 acres to Thomas Somerville, William's brother. The document was copied on April 20, 1929. March 11, 1900 Handwritten deed in which H. Bruce and Laura Burroughs sold part of the Copsey Farm to James S. Burroughs. December 5, 1900 Handwritten deed from Zachary R. Morgan and his wife Nellie to James S. Burroughs for part of the Copsey Farm of about five acres. July 28, 1904 Handwritten deed from Florence Milburn to Sarah Helen Thompson for two acres of Westham. April 26, 1907 Handwritten deed from August and Bertha Wolf to Sarah H. Thompson for approximately five acres of unnamed land in or near Westham. September 16, 1910 Florence and Charles Adams deeded two acres of land to Sarah H. Thompson, who seemed to be gathering land September 17, 1914 B. Harris and Nellie R. Camalier sold Birch Neck to Julia A. Ridgell, containing about 57 acres. June 19, 1918 Ignatius V. McKay conveyed two parcels to Harriet A. Matthews. The sheet has many references to previous surveys of Lot #1 of the James Tract.
