December 2, 1931 A Mr. Jameson, of Edelen Bros., asked Mr. Dorsey to collect on a long list of accounts. Jameson provided invoices for each account. He allowed a 15% collection fee to Mr. Dorsey. Adams, Benjamin of Valley Lee, owed $25.80 and had signed a note in January 1931 to pay in six months. The invoice noted interest and the 15% collection fee with a total. Baker, James T. of Chaptico, owed $39.04 and had signed a note in January 1931 to pay in six months. The invoice noted interest and the 15% collection fee with a total. Branson, Alexander of Loveville, owed $78.90. The invoice noted interest and the 15% collection fee with a total. In June, 1932, Branson tried to buy fertilizer, but the company did not want to advance any more credit. A letter in August 1932 said Branson had shipped his tobacco and hoped thereby to cover his bill. Butler, Frank of Beachville and St. Inigoes, owed $63.31 and had signed a note in January 1930 to pay in six months. He signed a second dote for $81.40 in January 1931. The invoice noted interest and the 15% collection fee with a total for the 1931 note only. Dorsey, John I. of Hollywood, owed $53.77 and had signed a note in January 1930 to pay in six months. The second note was for $150.66 and was signed in January 1931. The invoice noted additional merchandise purchases and a small tobacco shipment, interest and the 15% collection fee with a total. Fenwick, Frank of Hermanville, owed $7.10 as indicated in a notarized statement. The invoice noted interest with a total. Ferrell, Frank of Mechanicsville, owed $64.33 and had signed a note in January 1931 to pay in six months. The invoice noted interest and the 15% collection fee with a total. Goddard, B. R. of Piney Point, owed $117.20 and had signed a note in January 1928 to pay in six months. Apparently he had paid down some of the note because the invoice noted interest and the 15% collection fee on only $18.60. Goldsborough, Clyde I. of Leonardtown, owed $63.20 and had signed a note in January 1931 to pay in six months. The invoice noted interest and the 15% collection fee with a total. Gray, John W. of Laurel Grove, owed $10.95 as recorded in a notarized statement. The invoice noted interest with a total. Guy, Elmer of Hollywood, owed $39.55 as found in a notarized statement. The invoice noted interest and a total. Harris, T. H. of Jarboesville, owed $25.80 and had signed a note in January 1931 to pay in six months. The invoice noted interest and a total. Reed, Peyton C. of Loveville, owed $42.73 and had signed a note in January 1931 to pay in six months. The invoice noted interest and the 15% collection fee with a total. Russell, Philip of Leonardtown, owed $82.67 according to a notarized statement. The invoice noted interest and a total.
