This is a dark yellow with heavy black print almanac for 1909. It is on very cheap paper and is only 30 pages long. It is primarily an advertisement for for Dr. Mac Donald's Atlas Compound, a patent medicine that would cure every ill ever conceived by man or woman. There were astronomical and astrological charts and tables, a full page moon chart, planting suggestions, and a page for each month with weather predictions and likely illnesses. Alternate pages were ads for his cure-all.
In pencil around the edge of the cover is written in pencil, "This is book the witch used at Morganza School [several illegible words] May G. Love was witch."
Most of the lower right corner of the entire booklet has been eaten away by mice.Collection
