Description
Certificate of membership in the Telephone Pioneers of America for Edwin Warfield Beitzell dated January 14, 1947. The piece has cream colored paper forming an outside border 1 3/8" wide around a toast brown panel 8 1/2"h x 11 1/4"w. A photo of Alexander Graham Bell was in a center scroll at the top. A triangular logo for the organization was directly under the portrait on the bottom of the panel. Gently scrolled phone wires and the occasional trumpet shaped hand held listening device surrounded the text. The text was overlaid on the bell logo the Bell Telephone Companies. The certificate was signed by the secretary and president of the organization. Mr. Beitzell worked for the telephone company for his entire career, mostly in training and labor relations.
