Water color by Father Stephen Tushak of Eltonhead Manor in Patuxent River Naval Air Weapons Center, Lexington Park, Md. It is a spring scene. There is a story and a half house with one addition and six visible outbuildings. This home was destroyed by the Navy in 1942. The white frame house, with a brown roof, has an outside end corbeled chimney centered on each end. There is a similar chimney on the end of the addition. There are two dormers in the front roof of the house and one dormer in the addition. At the visible end of the house on the second floor, two square, four-light windows flank the chimney. On the first floor, there is a door toward the back of the house next to the chimney. In front, a five-bay porch with a four(?) foot railing covers the entire front of the main house, shading two windows and a centered door. There appears to be a porch on the far end of the addition and one window is visible on the front of that space. Several steps from the addition is a one story, rectangular house with an inside end chimney on the far wall. There is one window in the near end and one window and an off-center door on the front of the building. It is likely the kitchen building. Beyond this building are three other outbuildings: one is square with a red door and no visible windows and a pyramid roof, one has a standard peak roof and one visible window and the other has a peak roof and no visible windows. On the other side of the house are the two remaining outbuildings. The one nearest the house is small and square, with a peak roof and an arc window in one visible side. On top of the roof is another small building partly bisected by the roof line. It may be a dovecote. On top of that is still another tiny structure with a black roof--three roofs in all. The other building has a pyramidal roof and on long vertical window on a visible side. the brick foundation goes about one-third of the way up the two visible sides.
