Thursday, July 17, 1975 A full page ad in the Enterprise for the opening event of the United States Bicentennial celebration. The event was to be Saturday, July 19, 1975 at the Harry Lundeberg School. The United States Navy, various re-enactors from all over the state, a local drama group, and many others were helping with the festivities. One of the sponsors was the St. Mary's County Dept. of Parks and Recreation, of which Mr. Barthelme was the chief at that time.Collection
