1 piece ; 13 1/4"h x 8"w This accounting was made by Ethelbert Cecil for the estates of George Ford, minor and James Thompson, minor. Cecil rented land and hired "Negroes" from Ford or his estate. He did the same with Thompson. There were two pieces of property involved--one called The Lot, and one called Scotland. Many people were involved and my understanding is limited. Joseph Marryman or Merryman was named, Zachariah Clarke, Henny and Jim, James Thompson, also deceased, Elizabeth Thompson, Walter Clarke and his wife Mary Clarke, Joseph Clarke and his wife Ann Clarke. I think all these people were related. Cecil signed off on these accountings in February 1809 and it was marked Exhibit 1.
