Context
This is an excerpt Hope took from "The Registers of the Parish of Colne". The register covers the years of 1599 to 1653. It covers christenings, weddings and burials. In the top right corner on the front page Hope wrote out:

The next several pages in order that Hope included are: page with a black and white photo of Saint Bartholomew's Church, Colne with the location name beneath it and the last four pages are from the parish registers. The first index page is numbered 246 and Hope had highlighted the sections on Crombock (Alice and Richard) and the section on Cunliffes. The next page is 258 and has a sizeable highlighted section on Hartley. The final index page is number 259 and continues with the highlighted section on Hartley. The very last bit is a paper that Hope used as research notes containing more information on specific Cunliffes.
