David Hammett apparently sent Father LaFarge a color photo of the St. Nicholas Church on the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Father LaFarge used to be at the church. This letter is basically a typed thank you note.
He remembered that the concrete blocks were very porous and the walls leaked. He remembered two of the people who gave altars for the church. He said the priest slept in an attic over the sacristy. Father remembered a recent visit to St. Ignatius Church in St. Inigoes.Collection
