Fenwick chair 1Entry/Object ID
1995.001.1900Description
3 1/8"h x 3 1/4"w black and white photo of a Fenwick chair. It was a side chair, probably very early American. It appeared to have an upholstered seat. There were four stretchers between the legs. The legs appeared to be short, so perhaps they were cut down at some time. The chair is next to a five drawer sideboard. There was a pair of drawers at the top and then the rest were the full width of the piece. Each drawer had a lock. Three pieces of pottery were on top of the sideboard. Both the side board and the chair sat on a dark rug that was not properly stretched.
