Black and white print 2 5/8"h x 4 3/8"w of the Fenwick house. This is the front of the house in the summer. There appears to be a dirt path up to the porch that branches in each direction around the house. On the left wing on the first floor are two double hung windows with four lights in each window and dark shutters. The windows on the second floor are hardly visible because of the trees. There is a thrid floor gable with a small window in it. In the center part of the house on the first floor is a six bay wraparound porch. In the second bay is a large double door entrance to the home with full length side lights and a transom? There are screen doors for the entrance. Next to that is a tall double window with dark shutters. On the second floor are two double hung windows with two lights above and one light below. The left window has its shutters closed and the right one has opened shutters. A small window with four lights is centered in the gable end. On the right is a hexagonal bay with tall windows crowded into each of three sides, both upstairs and down. Shutters are included. This area has its own roof in a steep peak like a witch's hat. The porch posts are turned and have a small amount of gingerbread at the roofline. The two central posts are supported on brick pedestals possibly eight courses high with the steps in between. Three children are seated on the steps. Just behind them, a woman is seated in a chair, reading the paper. An adult male is seated on the right side of the porch. Lattice fencing is visible toward the back of the right side of the house. There are two large trees in the yard--elms, I think. There are bushes along the path.
