First Communion procession 2Entry/Object ID
2016.009.0017Description
3 1/2"h x 2 1/2"w black and white photo of children processing to church for their first communion. There were several little girls in veils, all with their hands clasped in prayer. A Sister of Charity came next, followed by African-American children, mostly boys, with their hands clasped in prayer. Altar boys followed those children. All the children wore white clothes and shoes and the girls wore small veils. There were lots of adults standing around, probably taking pictures such as this one.
