Description

4 1/8"h x 5 3/8"w landscape orientation color photo of First Friendship United Methodist Church. The image was part of a Christmas card. It was winter and there was a snow on the ground. The church was a simple gable roofed building of white clapboard with dark shutters and a gray roof. The steeple was four sided, very short, with a pyramid roof. The cross was large and plain. The roof of the building had a steep slope. The entrance to the building was in the near gable end--a simple double door and large six over six double hung windows with shutters on each side. The doorway was two or three steps up from the ground. On the long wall were three large six over six double hung windows with dark shutters. A small tool shed was attached to the far corner of the building. A chimney was barely visible on the far gable end. Gravestones were on two sides, fairly close to the building and fairly close together. ******************************************* Text on verso: in black print "Photograph by Alma Y.
