Description

This is an 8"h x 10"w black and white photo of Buck Briscoe down on one knee admiring four large picture advertisements mounted on poster board. The ads are leaned against and on top of a heating unit . The top left ad features the reconstructed State House in St. Mary's City. The top right ad features Sotterley mansion. The lower right ad shows a lovely sand beach and the lower left ad shows people enjoying a crab feast. Each ad has a small box with the same motif saying "come see St. Mary's county". Steuart Petroleum Company may have had something to do with the creation or placement of these ads. ************************************************* Text on verso: handwritten in green ink "National advertising ? ? ?
