Description

7 1/2"h x 5 1/2"w sepia tone photo. This was the image from the tintype (2013.007.0057) superimposed on a backdrop of an ornate Victorian interior. This may be Frances Lillia Dent's wedding picture. She was seated in a heavily carved chair in a corner by windows and a deeply recessed door. She was looking back over her left shoulder and was not smiling--in fact, she looks furious about something. She had on a light colored off-the-shoulder dress with a black lace shawl artfully arranged. The dress fabric had many rows of lovely flowers. Miss Dent's hair was parted in the middle and pulled back into heavy curls that framed her face. She had on large earrings. Notice that many areas of the image are fuzzy; her chin and shoulders are an example.
