Description

3 1/2"h x 2 5/16"w sepia tone carte-de-visite photo of G. D. Chandler who was sending the carte as a Christmas gift to his Aunt Martha. He had dark blond hair. He was standing next to a photographer's chair with one hand visible on the chair and the other tucked behind his back, no doubt at the photographer's direction. He had on a dark jacket that had subtle stripes. There were 3 close together tucks on each side of the jacket's opening. There were four large buttons and all were fastened. His white shirt collar covered the coat collar and he also had a tie of dark shiny material that hung down to the second coat button. Some sort of button or badge--a disk--hung on a string from the second button.
