3 1/2"h x 4 3/8"w color photo of one of the big commercial buildings on the back streets of Leonardtown. This was a large gable roofed building covered in faux brick asphalt shingles. This view is of the wide gable end. There were three pairs of six over six double hung windows on the second floor, but all of them were boarded over on the inside. On the street level on the right was a garage door six windows across. It was a dark blue green. In the center was an open garage door with a truck inside. Above the door was a white sign with red lettering "Washing." On the right was a large window with 30 lights in it. The window was so dirty it was no longer transparent. The building had been a shop for Matthews Implement Company that had its offices a block or so away and later was used by Bell Motor Company. Since there are Chevrolets around the door, this is probably when Bell Motor Co. owned it. Across the street was a gas pump used by Bell.
