Mr. Knight lived as a child in Petersburg, Virginia, but returned to Leonardtown, Maryland with his parents as a young man. He was a writer. He fought constantly to get his work published and even was a principal in some publishing companies. He eventually founded his own company. One folder is selections from Mr. Knight's correspondence with his agent. Mr. Knight was also a photographer and published some of his photographs. There is a file of selected rejection letters. Mr. Knight retained nearly all these letters, even those which contained very harsh criticism.Collection
