3 3/8"h x 5 7/8"w black and white photo of the Goldsmith place in Charles County. This view is of a long story and a half house with a shake roof pierced by five gable-roofed dormers. There is an inside-end chimney on each gable end. The corbel on the left is damaged and the one on the right may be also. The roof shakes are in very poor repair. There are a few broken panes in the six-over-six lights in the dormers. The roof on the long side of the house incorporates a shed roof over the six bay porch. There is a center door flanked by two nine-over-nine light windows on each side. On the left is a single story addition, also in poor repair. There are three narrow windows visible in this side of the addition. The right gable end is full brick with no fenestration. It is painted white from the middle of the porch shed enclosure to the ground. The roof slope on the back of the house is much longer than the front. There is a simple wood and chicken wire fence between the photographer and the house.
