10"h x 12"w sepia tone landscape oriented photo of a group of people on the steps and porch of Hotel St. Mary's. Standing at the bottom of the stairs and holding a walking stick was Governor Crothers. There were two boys on bicycles on the left side of the steps, but most were on the steps and the porch. Most of those visible were men; there were a few boys. Two women were seated on the porch to the left; one had on an enormous hat. The woman who gave us the photo pointed out her father, Dr. Walter B. Dent on the second step by writing his name on the "frame" of the photo and drawing a blue ink line to his location. This was a smaller group than was shown in 1980.001.0176--perhaps more exalted members of the community.
