Description

This is a 10"h x 8"w color photo of Governor Tawes inscribed to Buck Briscoe. The Governor is speaking to an audience at an unknown event. Judging by the way the photo has faded, it was framed for some time. There are many green squiggles all over the image. The inscription in the upper right corner reads "To Buck Briscoe, St. Mary's Co. outstanding salesman and my good friend of many years. Sincerely, J. Millard Tawes, Gov. of Md. 1959-1967" ************************************************* Text on verso: in black stamp ink "Gunzelman Studio of Photography 6204 Belair Road Baltimore, Maryland 21206 Phone: 426-1175"
