6 3/8"h x 4 1/4"w sepia tone photo of Eleanor Grace Blackistone Dent and Walter Benjamin Dent on their honeymoon in Saranac Lake, N. Y. I think the photo was taken in the early 1880s. Mrs. Dent was on the left, standing, and Dr. Dent was seated. They both had very serious expressions. Her hair was probably brown with a coronet braid. His hair was also probably brown, cut rather short and parted on the side. He had a small mustache. She had on a light, tight fitting jacket with velvet collar and cuffs. There were 16! buttons up the front. I think there was a small collar pin. She had on a dark skirt with a light colored overlay and contrasting panels near the hem. She held a small two tone handbag in her right hand. He had on a dark coat with minimal lapels, a light colored shirt and dark trousers. The edges of the coat were bound in slightly lighter ribbon or braid. A Maltese cross was hanging from his watch chain.
